Colour Lovers

Colour Lovers is a great site to go to if you're ever stumped for a decent color scheme for your website. There, you can find palettes, random colo(u)rs and other cool stuff. Adobe has its own rip off version of the site as well.

Stripe Generator

An endlessly useful site that uses AJAX to dynamically create stripe tile patterns for use on your website or anything else for that matter. Personally, I find creating decent striped tile patterns to be a pain in the ass, so this site was a very welcome find. Not to be confused with Strip Generator, a comic book generating program that's also pretty cool.

A List Apart

A List Apart is an amazing resource for beginning through advanced web designers and CSS coders. There are literally hundreds of articles about every aspect of web design from typography to layouts. Always a good read.

Morgue File

Thousands of free public domain images, mostly with little to no restrictions on usage.

Stock Exchange

An enormous collection of free, mostly royalty free images for private use... Commercial usage is somewhat restricted. (Check out their TOS before using any images from this site).
